As directed by general statute § 113 333(b), the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission is required to develop conservation plans for all animals listed as Endangered, Threatened, or Special Concern. These plans include analysis of the factors that have been identified as causing the decline of the species and the measures that can be taken to restore the species. These plans are developed with input from the Nongame Wildlife Advisory Committee and the public.
