Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) is an international program in which women age 18 and older learn outdoor skills through hands-on experiences. In North Carolina, BOW workshops are held across the state and offer a variety of outdoor skills, including fishing, hunter safety, target shooting, archery, canoeing, motorboat safety, outdoor cooking, tracking and map-and-compass.
For more information or to download a registration packet, click on the subject under Details in the table below. Enrollment is limited for each event and registration is first come, first served.
Scholarship opportunities are available for all the BOW programs. Download the Mel Porter Scholarship Application (PDF). Scholarships for this program are supported solely by your generosity. Donate today to support the scholarship program.
