EDEN, N.C. (Nov. 26, 2019) —  The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission will hold a public meeting at 7 p.m. on Dec. 10 in Eden to seek more input on developing a management plan for the Dan River Game Land. The meeting will be held at the Eden City Hall at 308 E. Stadium Dr. in Eden.

Commission staff will use public input from the meeting to help guide management and user activities on Dan River Game Land for the next 10 years. The game land, which encompasses 1,760 acres, is located four miles southwest of Eden on the Dan River.

“We are seeking input from all users of Dan River Game Land and others who are interested in how the property is managed,” said Chris Jordan, the Commission’s Game Land program coordinator. “This includes hunters, anglers, hikers and anyone else who has an interest in the game land.”

Through Dec. 13, comments and suggestions regarding the Dan River Game Land management plan can be submitted online at ncwildlife.org/gamelandcomments. Comments also can be e-mailed, with “Dan River Game Land” in the subject line, to gamelandplan@ncwildlife.org.
