Wildlife Commission Reopens Boating and Fishing Access Areas

RALEIGH, N.C. (Feb. 22, 2016) — The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission has reopened all boating and public fishing access areas in northwestern North Carolina after closing them this month due to damages sustained from severe flash flooding. 

The re-opened areas are:

·         Burch Station in Surry County

·         Yadkin Shore in Yadkin County

·         Elkin Boating Access Area in Surry County

·         Roaring River in Wilkes County

·         Ferguson in Wilkes County
