Rockingham, N.C. (April 27, 2017) — The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission will hold a public meeting to discuss and take comments on a proposal that would designate an area on the Pee Dee River game land along the shoreline of Blewett Falls Lake as a “Day Use Only Zone.” Changing the game land designation to a posted “Day Use Only Zone” will prohibit the public from using the selected area between sunset and sunrise.
The meeting is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on May 4 in the Richmond County Administration Offices at 125 S. Hancock Street in Rockingham.
For more information, call the Commission’s Land and Water Access Section at (919) 707-0367. For more information on game lands, visit the interactive game land map at www.ncwildlife.org.
