Since July 2013, the Wildlife Commission has conducted 15 public meetings for hunters, trappers, anglers, birders, wildlife watchers and others interested in using game lands to gather input on how 20 Commission-owned game lands should be managed over the next 10 years. Staff is using the public input from the meetings, as well as comments on the draft management plans, to help guide management and user activities on these game lands.
The Commission is developing draft management plans for other game land areas, and will post them online next summer for public review.
