Becoming an Outdoors-Woman Gift Certificates a Great Holiday Idea
Plenty of smiles at a BOW weekend.

RALEIGH, N.C. (Nov. 26,2013) — The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission is offering gift certificates for its Becoming an Outdoors-Woman program, an ideal present for female outdoors enthusiasts and would-be adventurers.

The gift certificate entitles a recipient to attend the three-day 2014 BOW weekend workshop, scheduled for April 11–13, 2014, at Eastern 4-H Center, located in Tyrrell County on the Albemarle Sound. Activities include expert instruction in boating, archery, fishing, target shooting, as well as outdoor cooking and more.

Cost is $225 per person and includes all lodging, meals and choice of four outdoor skill sessions, plus all program materials and use of equipment. Order gift certificates online or by phone at 1-866-945-3746.

“A gift certificate is ideal for any woman wanting to explore nature, learn some outdoor skills and have a fun weekend in the company of like-minded women,” said BB Gillen, state director of Becoming an Outdoors-Woman and the Commission’s outdoors skillscoordinator.

Becoming an Outdoors-Woman is an international program for women, 18 and older, to learn outdoor skills through hands-on experiences in a variety of outdoor instructional activities, such as archery, paddling, wildlife photography, outdoor cooking, tracking and map-and-compass orienteering.
